Job Overview
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in leading the team, driving sales, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role helps oversee daily store operations, motivates the sales team, and ensures brand standards are maintained while achieving store performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales & Customer Experience
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping environment
• Drive sales by leading by example on the sales floor
• Support the team in achieving daily and weekly sales targets
• Promote current promotions, loyalty programs, and product knowledge
Team Leadership
• Support recruiting, training, and coaching of sales associates
• Motivate the team to meet sales goals and maintain high energy on the floor
• Assist with scheduling and team communication
• Provide feedback and support team development
Operations
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising
• Ensure visual merchandising standards meet brand guidelines
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization
Performance & Results
• Monitor key performance indicators such as sales, conversion, and average transaction value
• Help implement strategies to improve store performance
• Support loss prevention and operational policies
Qualifications
• Retail experience preferred (leadership experience an asset)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Passion for fashion, footwear, and trends
